Explanation

  • Sharebar

You are in a very dark place, you light a torch and hold it up to see where you are going, but you still bump into a tree stump. Some situations are funny when viewed from the distance of time, but extremely embarrassing when they occur. You are travelling on the train to go for a job interview and start chatting to the man sitting next to you. After a while you tell him where you are going and admit that you are nervous because you know that the person who will interview you has a reputation of being a very unpleasant person. When you arrive for the interview, the interviewer is the person from the train! You have lit the torch, but bumped into a stump.
