I used to see ” Manee Reader” used by Southern Ilinoi University which I like it very much. There have 40 lessons all together by that time, wonder if they are the same or not?
The content in Manee Reader is very good for teaching children. Do we have any book like this which has made for teaching adults who will go to work or to do business in Thailand?
Since all 12 books said will cover for Primary Education level 6( Pratom 6). I am not sure if you are familiar with Language Proficiency Levels ( ILR)1,2,3,4 or not. What is ILR level do you expect after finishing all 12 books and how many hours if adults will learn to finish all 12 lessons?
This information is necessary for the teacher who will teach Thai language as an intensive course.
    Thank you very much

      1. I used to see ” Manee Reader” used by Southern Ilinoi University which I like it very much. There have 40 lessons all together by that time, wonder if they are the same or not?
Answer : They are the same, Manee books series consist of the total of 12 books. Southern Ilinoi University published just book 1 and 2, my website aim to publish all 12 books as now books 1-4 are published. As today book5 lesson 5 is the current one. It’s an on going project.

2.The content in Manee Reader is very good for teaching children. Do we have any book like this which has made for teaching adults who will go to work or to do business in Thailand?
Answer : Although, Maanee book were created to teach school children but as a foreign learners, it’s a great resource to learn basic conversation to acquire basic sentences. In the same time, learners are recommended to read online article or newspaper for advance vocabulary. check out this site http://thaitextreader.com/
To combine both resources is the key. Maanee books is providing not only conversation but also the better understand of Thai culture and tradition as well.

      3. What is ILR level do you expect after finishing all 12 books?
Answer : We don’t use ILR system, in my opinion if finishing all 12 books, the level will be around Level 6 or more.
One of Maanee reader I met,Jan,he currently reading book 8-9 and his Thai is 99% fluent.
